Ko wai to...

We have been learning how to ask someone who their mum is in Te Reo Maori.

If you want to help us practice at home this is what we say...

Te Reo question:  Ko wai to mama? (Who is your mum?)

Te Reo answer:  Ko ______ toku mama. (My mum is________)

We will keep you posted with some videos of us doing this in class...

Hukanui Whanau

This week we have been learning about who is in our Hukanui Whanau.

We brainstormed who was in our Hukanui Whanau and how they help us...

Here is what some of the children said:

Mrs Fletcher helps me with my 'f' sounds in words.   -Ben

Miss Sattler helped me when I got hurt.   -Zak

Duty teachers help us in the playground - Elizabeth

Here are what some children wrote in their stories today...

Teachers help us

Miss Jamieson helps me to stop us from yelling. And Mr Morris helps me because I was playing with a ball then it got stuck in the roof and he got it out.

By Jana

Miss Webb helps me choose books. I like duty teachers because they sort the mean people out. I don't like mean people because I don't like being hurt.

Mrs Bird helps me with my words. It is good to learn your words.
